Ezekiel 10:13

Ezekiel 10:13 says, As for the wheels, it was cried unto them in my hearing, O wheel.  Ezekiel then began to speak about the wheels themselves.  The wheels by themselves were wonderful, but working as one, they were even greater.  We as Christians should be great reflection of the glory of God individually, but collectively we should be an even greater reflection of God’s glory.

Verse fourteen adds, And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle. Ezekiel once again describes the four faces of the living creatures, I believe, even if he did start by speaking about the wheels.  Each wheel was under the guidance of a living creature, and the living creatures were under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  God has always worked with organization among His people, and He still does today.  We as the church should be united in purpose, and that is to reach the lost people of the world with the gospel and to bring honor and glory to God.

Verse fifteen continues, And the cherubims were lifted up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar.  Ezekiel said that the cherubim were lifted up by the living creature he saw at the river of Chebar.  They were still acting in unity, and so should we as  Christians today.

Verse sixteen states, And when the cherubims went, the wheels went by them: and when the cherubims lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also turned not from beside them. Once more, this is a continuation of the fact that the cherubim, or living creatures and the wheels acted as one.  When the cherubim lifted their wings to rise up from the earth, the wheels did not leave their side.  Again, this emphasizes that all those who do God's work should be united in purpose.

Verse seventeen continues, When they stood, these stood; and when they were lifted up, these lifted up themselves also: for the spirit of the living creature was in them.  Ezekiel said the reason the cherubim and wheels worked together was because the Spirit of the Living Creature was in them.  I believe this is a reference to the Holy Spirit and we should always be under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, individually as a follower of Christ and collectively as the church.
